The wok is a nice heavy piece.having two handles is great for control when lifting and moving the wok. It heats evenly distributing well so you don't have some of your ingredients burning while other parts are barely warm. It can hold a nice amount of food at a time . Cleanup was a dream. Hot water, a little bit of dish soap and a dish rag did the job perfectly.a really great tool fo the kitchen.

Every Kitchen Should Have One

The TASTY 14 inch premium non-stick wok was a pleasure to cook in.  The wok is 14 inch which can hold any amount of food that

you may need to prepare.  It is made of heavy gauge carbon steel and also made without PFOA. When the wok heats up do not have to worry about burning your hands with the handle because the handle is made of a stay cool soft touch material.  This TASTY Wok can be used on all cooking surfaces including electric, glass, gas and induction. The wok has a flat base so it is stable on surfaces. It also had an even cooking area throughout the wok, no overly hot areas. Heated up quick. I would highly recommend this Tasty Wok for cooking up your favorite stir fried food. Two thumbs up for sure!

Review of Tasty Wok

This is a really nice wok.  It's made with heavy gauge carbon steel.  The handles are made from a soft touch material that withstands heat and stays cool to the touch.  That's a big plus for me.  They are easy to grip and don't slide around in your hands.  The flat base makes it easy to use on an electric range.  It is a great wok that can be used on electric, gas, glass ceramic, and induction ranges.  I have even used it on the propane side burner of my grill and it performed great.  Abrasive cleaners can't be used to clean it, but the non-stick coating does it's job really well.  I can't imagine ever needing to scrub it during cleaning, as long as it hasn't been overheated enough to burn the food.  The large fourteen-inch size makes it easy to prepare a lot of different foods.  I made pork fried rice in a large enough quantity to feed five people and still had plenty of room left in the wok.  Cooking the eggs with all the other ingredients already added was an easy task due to the large size.  The wok heats up quickly, making it energy efficient.  I look forward to using this wok in the future to prepare a lot of different recipes.  I don't think anyone could go wrong choosing this wok.  Another fine product from Tasty, a favorite of mine!

Great Wok!

I've never used a wok before, but always wanted to try one out. My family loves Asian cuisine and a lot of recipes suggest using a wok to cook them. I've used mine to make a delicious stir fry and sesame chicken so far and I can see why they're recommended! This wok is awesome. I love the deepness of the pan, the size is great and nothing sticks to it. Even my super thick, sticky sesame sauce slid right out. Washes super easy and is a pleasure to use. I would absolutely recommend this wok to anyone.

Amazing wok

The Tasty 14 inch Red Wok is a wonderful tool.  It cooks evenly at high temperatures, doesn't stick and makes quick work of a one pan meal. I love this pan. It is made with high quality materials, has a long handle and a hand handle on the other side.  I prefer using a wok when making stir fry, it is the best pan for the job.  The shape of the wok, the deep bottom and rounded sides makes it much easier to control the contents without splattering.  Today I made Enchiladas in the Tasty Wok and they turned out delicious.  This is definitely my favorite pan!  It is large, but all the better as stir fry must be continually stirred to keep it from burning and with a pan this size it is really simple to do.  I totally recommend the Tasty Wok for everyone who likes stir fry. The Wok is easily cleaned and the Tasty Wok is one of the best I have seen.

RED, 14 INCH TASTY WOK

I was not able to pass up this beautiful Wok. This product has a very nice weight to it so you know it's going to be stable while cooking. I really like the wooden handle that would not get hot while cooking. And it has a very large cooking surface. I was very surprised how large it was once I got it home. I have a feeling I'll be cooking more than stir fry in this beautiful product.

A beautiful peice if cooking equipment

I have owned at least four different woks and must admit the Tasty brand is definitely one of my favorites. I like that the wok itself is a deeper wok with high steep sides instead of the larger more wide wok. I like the classic red color but would love to see a couple fun bright colors.

Tasty WOK

This is the first wok I ever bought or used %26 I was honestly disappointed at first when I realized it said it was from some cookware line created by BuzzFeed, yes THAT BuzzFeed, but admittedly it's a really good pan %26 you don't have to just cook stir fry or fried rice in it, it's also great for making taco fillings or pretty much anything that you need a large pan for it's a great multi-functioning pan %26 most importantly it's non-stick %26 dishwasher safe, well, if you can fit it in your dishwasher.

A surprisingly pretty good pan.

This 14 inch nonstick, heavy gauge, carbon steel wok is probably one of the best purchases you'll make this year.

I love the long stay cool, soft, touch handle and helper handle, which makes the pan easy to transport it from your countertop to another surface, as well as helping you to transfer food into serving dishes.  The helper handle makes lifting the pan, easy with a comfortable grip. It's heavy gauge, but very light weight. it heats evenly, quickly and retains the heat.

The nonstick finish makes clean up a breeze. There's no sticking or burning food.

Another great feature is it can be used on gas, electric, glass, or induction stove.

This walk is the perfect size for stirfry, and is much larger than you would think. There's enough room to easily stir the food around without it flying out of the pan.

I found it to cook great for all types of meat and fish, as well as vegetables and rice. It's great for stirfrying, deep frying, searing, sautéing and more.

The only problem I found with the walk was the helper handle was a little wobbly, and should have been more securely attached.

Also, I was unaware that metal utensils would scratch and chipped the bottom of the pan. All of the Asian cooks I've watched on TV have used them but obviously it's not recommended for this pan.  I wish that would have been specified on the label.

All in all, I still feel this walk is a great investment for anyone who occasionally cooks stirfry at home. I would recommend it just be sure to use wood or plastic utensils.

Great Wok

And unfortunately, you cannot get this one hot without damaging it. 

I read the instructions on this wok, and immediately had reservations. It was noted, right on the labeling, that this wok is best used at around 300 degrees...unfortunately, that's not how one uses a real wok. Real carbon-steel woks are used at very high temperatures, with the professional ones being used around 800 degrees, for optimal flash-cooking. While the non-stick coating is lovely, it's not useful for real Asian cookery. 

So, I tried out the wok with a basic batch of fried rice, using onion, carrot, egg, ham, and leftover rice. I was careful to heat this wok gently, on a couple of notches lower than High. I used a minimal amount of oil- grapeseed, and a dash of Szechuan peppercorn oil, and was able, with some time, to brown the onions and the carrots. The addition of the ham also went well, and nothing stuck. Even after adding the rice, heating it through, and pouring in the egg, did not cause any sticking or burning. I finished the dish with dark soy sauce and green onions, and the rice came out perfectly. 

However...my boyfriend decided, since the pan and burner were still hot, to brown a hotdog bun in the wok. He turned the heat up to HIGH and let it preheat for minute or two. He then dropped the bun in to brown it...and it immediately became part of the previously nonstick finish, and I was unable to remove the burnt-on disaster that was the result. (Please note, I did not notice this was going on until it was too late!) This also caused the finish to begin flaking, on the bottom of the wok. When they say that this finish does not take high heat...they really, really weren't kidding. I tried to scrub the burn area out, but once it's heated like this, the food and finish become as one. There is no removing this and saving the wok. 

I have attached photos of the successful fried rice, and the aftermath of the hotdog bun disaster, to give you a clear idea of how very easy it is, to destroy this wok's finish. If you intend to cook traditionally, with high heat, this is not going to be a good fit for you. If you cook with a wok in a more casual manner, without high heat, it's great. As it stands, my fella and I are foodies- and the destruction of this wok would have happened sooner or later, given our tendency to do traditional cooking. 

I give this one thumbs-up- it'll work for most households, but just didn't, for ours. Sadly, our run with this pan is over.
